Debbie grew up in California and intended to pursue a dance career after college. Along the way she worked at Disneyland for several years as a guest relations tour guide before deciding to become a teacher. After earning her teaching credentials, she moved to Oregon where she taught high school English more than eight years. She says “In that time I met my husband Matt on match.com, we got married, and have had beautiful kiddos. I have since retired from teaching to be home with my kiddos and rock my Arbonne business. I still miss Disney and dancing.” She was inspired to start her business after her daughter was born. She wanted to stay home with her daughter, but wasn’t interested in starting her own business. She also wasn’t interested in networking marketing - until she fell in love with Arbonne’s products. “The skincare changed my appearance, the baby care vastly improved my daughters’, and my husband and I have lost over 90 pounds combined. I believe in these products and the company more than I ever thought I could. I would do this for free, but the money helps,” she explains. Debbie says she has several mentors including her upline, Regional Vice President Trish, and Arbonne’s National Vice President. “They are such amazing lights and inspiration, but I love that they are real people and we have had some amazing laughs and good times together,” she says. One of Debbie’s biggest challenges is dealing with self doubt. “Everyone sees me as being super confident all the time, and for the most part I am. However, I still get nervous putting myself out there,” she explains. She says it helps if she tells herself people aren't rejecting her, specifically, they just don't see the bigger picture yet. She advises new business owners to be themselves and to be honest. “Don't fall into the gimmicky stuff. Create real and lasting relationships with people. It takes time,” she says. Debbie loves being in the MOB because of the positivity and connection. “We all understand the crazy life balance of being moms so it's just nice to get out with other like-minded mamapreneurs and make things happen together. I truly feel that we are an amazing group of rock stars who build each other up,” she says. When we asked her what she loves about working for herself she said “I only have me to answer to. It's on me to get it done, and my effort shows a direct reflection of where I am. This is the most fair business I've ever been in. I never miss a moment with my kids and nothing can beat that.” Although Debbie lives in Tigard, she has clients and business partners in several parts of the United States, as well as Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, and Taiwan. “My business never sleeps, although I do occasionally,” she jokes.
Debbie is currently a district manager and will soon become an area manager. She says that some of her proudest accomplishments are being promoted to management, earning Tiffany's and Co challenges, being awarded great bonuses. She says “My greatest accomplishments are yet to come! 2017 is proving to be a big year for my organization and I am so ecstatic about that!” Since Arbonne offers a variety of products, Debbie has several ideal referrals. She loves to help people who are looking to improve their skin and health by switching to clean products that are free of toxins, parabens, mineral oil, animal byproducts. She is also interested in connecting with someone who would like to host, either in person or online, a presentation where I could share the benefits of the Arbonne Advantage, and anyone who would be interested in joining her team.
